Satellite Verzió - Szombathely

Water Tower
The 3nd Verzió in Szombathely

9-11 November, 2022

Verzió screenings were first introduced in Szombathely at the Bohém Café, later in 2021 the screenings took place in the Savaria cinema. The Festival is organized by the local branch of the Szabad Terek (Free Spaces) network.

The screening room of the Water Tower, an organisational unit of the municipally run AGORA Savaria Cultural and Media Centre, will be home to this year's VERZIÓ International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival, a three-day satellite event in Szombathely. Following last year's renovation and refurbishment of the industrial monument, which was built between the two world wars, the festival will now welcome documentaries on nationalities and their conflicts, the role of artists in shaping society, and the labyrinth of different professions. The programme is a joint event of the Verzio  and the Free Spaces Network, organized by Júlia Salamon, cultural worker, curator.
