Els van Driel szabadúszó dokumentumfilmes. A gyermekjogokról szóló Just Kids díjnyertes dokumentumfilm-sorozat alkotója, és Eefje Blankevoorttal közösen alapította és rendezte 2017-ben a The Asylummachine és The Deal című multimédiás projekteket, amelyek az EU és Törökország közötti megállapodás következményeit elemzik. 2020-ban társrendezője volt a Shadow Game című transzmédiás dokumentumfilm-projektnek, amely számos díjat nyert.

Sajid Khan Nasiri, akit barátai csak SK néven ismernek, a belgiumi Antwerpenben tanul, és ez az első társrendezése. Alig tizenöt évesen hagyta el szülőhazáját, Afganisztánt. Több mint két évbe telt veszélyes útja Európába és azon keresztül. Hollywoodgate

A Dzsiddában, 1990-ben született Ibrahim Nash’at Berlinben élő egyiptomi filmrendező. Újságíróként több műfajban is dolgozott különböző nemzetközi csatornáknál és online platformokon, mint a Deutsche Welle, az Al Jazeera, a Business Insider, az AJ+, az Amerika Hangja és mások. Ibrahim a Met Film Schoolban szerzett mesterdiplomát dokumentumfilm-rendezésből. The Mind Game

Eefje Blankevoort studied history at the University of Amsterdam, and has since developed into a journalistic Swiss Army Knife. She writes articles and books, makes interactive projects, exhibitions and documentary films. She is the co-founder of the journalistic production agency, Prospektor. She co-directed The Mind Game.

Els van Driel is a freelance documentary filmmaker. She created the award-winning youth documentary series, Just Kids, about children’s rights, and was co-founder/director, together with Eefje Blankevoort, of the multimedia productions The Asylummachine and The Deal, an analysis of the consequences of the 2017 EU-Turkey deal. In 2020, she co-directed Shadow Game, a multi-award winning transmedia documentary project.

Sajid Khan (SK) Nasiri was born in Afghanistan, in 2004. He had just turned fifteen when he fled his homeland. His perilous journey to and through Europe took more than two years. He was one of the main characters in the multi-award winning documentary Shadow Game, and one of the driving forces behind the accompanying impact campaign, “Protect Children on the Move.” He has spoken in the European Parliament, at the Council of Europe, and in the Croatian Parliament to raise awareness of the violation of refugee children’s rights. He is currently studying in Belgium, and is working on becoming a TikTok journalist, reporting on the life of refugee teenagers in Europe and the Afghan diaspora. This is his co-directorial debut.

Hollywoodgate

Ibrahim Nash’at (born 1990, in Jeddah) is an Egyptian documentary filmmaker based in Berlin, Germany. His career in journalism spans various formats as he has worked with several international channels and online platforms, such as Deutsche Welle, Al Jazeera, Business Insider, AJ+, Voice of America, and others. Ibrahim holds a master’s degree in documentary filmmaking from Met Film School. He co-edited Academy Award-nominated director Talal Derki’s latest film, Under the Sky of Damascus, which premiered at the Panorama section of Berlinale 2023, and won the Golden Alexander at the 25th Thessaloniki Doc Festival. Ibrahim has directed A Moment With the Wind, Home Away from Home and Berlin's Diversity, short films selected for multiple festivals around the world. Hollywoodgate is Ibrahim’s first feature-length film.

Workingman's Death

Michael Glawogger was born in Graz, Austria, and studied at the San Francisco Art Institute and the Vienna Film Academy. He started as an assistant camera operator, and later worked as a cinematographer, screenwriter, and director. He made numerous internationally-acclaimed shorts, documentaries, and feature films. He had recently devoted himself to literary writing. Michael Glawogger died in Monrovia, Liberia, in April of 2014 while shooting Untitled.
