My Chemical Information System
“What is life? Life is a chemical information system,” asserts Hungarian-born scientist Gyula Dékány—a belief that has driven him to groundbreaking discoveries. For over two decades, he has been torn between Europe and Australia, living 16,000 km away from his family while dedicating himself to scientific breakthroughs. Now, working to develop compounds that could cure Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s, he faces a new challenge: balancing his relentless pursuit of innovation with the desire to be home. Is life merely a chemical information system, or does it hold something deeper?
