Directing duo Badabum from Berlin. Anna Koch & Julia Lemke graduated in 2016 from the German Film and Television Academy Berlin (DFFB) with their documentary SCHULTERSIEG, a coming-of-age drama set in the professional female wrestling scene of East Germany. SCHULTERSIEG won the award for Best Docu- mentary at the 2016 International Hofer Film Festival and was featured at the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam 2016 and South by Southwest 2017, among others. The film received multiple awards. Since then, Anna and Julia have been working together as the directing duo BADABUM. Their debut film GLITZER & STAUB, produced by Katharina Bergfeld and Flare Film, a co-production with „ZDF Das kleine Fernsehspiel,“ premiered in January 2020 at the Max Ophüls Filmfestival and was featured at numerous international festivals, including the Krakow Film Festival, the Zlin International Film Festival, and the Gol- denen Spatz. Their new film ZIRKUSKIND is the first documentary created as part of the initiative „Der besondere Kin- derfilm“ and will have its premiere at Berlinale 2025 in the „Generation“ section. It is their second collabo- ration with producer Katharina Bergfeld and Flare Film.

Juanjo Pereira filmrendező, kutató és producer, az interdiszciplináris kutatást előtérbe helyező esszéfilmek és videóinstallációk alkotója. A paraguayi filmarchívum elkötelezett kutatója, projektjeiben a szituacionista sódródáson („dérive”) keresztül vizsgál modern infrastruktúrákat és a hétköznapi épített környezetet. Vibeke Løkkeberg Norvégia egyik legismertebb filmrendezője, írója és kulturális ikonja. Terje Kristiansen producer feleségeként és Tonje és Marie édesanyjaként Løkkeberg egyedi koncepciót alkotott: személyes életét ötvözi a filmkészítéssel, gyakran családjával együttműködve. Olga Kosanović rendező, forgatókönyvíró és tanár, Bécsben él. Filmtanulmányait 2020-ban fejezte be a hamburgi HFBK-n, 2017 és 2018 között cserehallgatóként a prágai FAMU Filmakadémián tanult, majd a bécsi Graphische és a független „Friedl Kubelka” filmiskolákban. Munkáit számos nemzetközi fesztiválon vetítették, 2021-ben az Oberhauseni Rövidfilm-fesztiválon elnyerte a 3Sat Emerging Talent Award díjat Comrade Tito, I Inherit című filmjéért, jelölték a német LOLA rövidfilm-díjra és megkapta az osztrák Filmprize 2022-díjat. Land of Mountains című rövidfilmje 2023-ban kiérdemelte a legjobb új tehetség díját az osztrák Diagonale Filmfesztiválon, majd 2024-ben a legjobb középhosszúságú film díját és a közönségdíjat is a németországi Max Ophüls Preis Filmfesztiválon.

Majdnem család

Daniel Abma 1978-ban született a holland Westerborkban, Drenthe tartományban. Miután megszerezte általános iskolai tanári diplomáját, Berlinbe költözött, hogy fiatal médiamunkásként dolgozzon. Ezt követően filmrendezői tanulmányokat folytatott a potsdami Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF Filmakadémián, ahol elkészítette a Beyond Wriezen (Grimme-díj, 2012), a Havanna Tranzit (2016) és a The Family Approach (2024) című egész estés dokumentumfilmeket. Társadalmi témákat feldolgozó dokumentumfilmjei megfigyelő jellegűek és emberközpontúak. Miközben 2017 óta oktatja is a dokumentumfilm-rendezést és európai filmfesztiválokon tart pitchingworkshopokat, továbbra is dolgozik szabadúszó ifjúsági médiamunkásként.

Juanjo Pereira is a filmmaker, researcher and producer whose work highlights interdisciplinary research through the creation of essay films and video installations. He is dedicated to researching the Paraguayan film archive, and his projects also use the dérive to examine modern infrastructures and everyday built landscapes. He serves as the artistic director and co-founder of the Asunción International Contemporary Film Festival. He has participated and won awards at festivals and markets such as: Hot Docs Forum, IDFA Bertha Fund, ARCHÉ, among others.

The Long Road to the Director's Chair

Vibeke Løkkeberg (b. 1945) is one of Norway’s most profiled filmmakers, authors and cultural icons. Married to producer Terje Kristiansen and mother to Tonje and Marie, Løkkeberg created a unique concept of blending her personal life with her filmmaking, often working with her family. Known for groundbreaking and often controversial films, such as Løperjenten (The Story of Camila) and Hud (Skin), the director brings her uncompromising vision and storytelling prowess to this project. Løkkeberg is also a prolific novelist, with works including Leoparden (1989), Jordens skygge (1994), Purpur (2002), Brev til himmelen (2004),. Allierte (2008) and Frokost på stupet (2018). In 2005, Løkkeberg was appointed Cavalieri by the Italian President, and in 2015, Løkkeberg was the recipient of the Honorary Amanda Award for her contribution to Norwegian Cinema.

Olga Kosanović is a director, screenwriter and teacher based in Vienna. In 2020 she completed her film studies at the HFBK in Hamburg. In 2017/18 she was an exchange student at the FAMU Film Academy in Prague. She is also a graduate of the Graphische and independent film school "Friedl Kubelka" in Vienna. Her films were screened at numerous international festivals, in 2021 she was awarded the 3Sat Emerging Talent Award for her film “Comrade Tito, I inherit” at the Oberhausen Short Film Festival, got nominated for the German Shortfilmaward LOLA and received the austrian Filmprize 2022. In 2023 her Shortfilm "Land of Mountains" was awarded with Best Newcomer Award at Diagonale Filmfestival in Austria, followed by the Award for Best midlength Film aswell as Audience Award at the Filmfestival Max Ophüls Preis in Germany 2024.

The Family Approach

Daniel Abma was born in 1978 in Westerbork, Drenthe, Netherlands. After a degree in primary school education, he moved to Berlin to be a youth media worker. Then he studied film directing at the Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF in Potsdam, where he realised the feature-length documentaries Beyond Wriezen (Nach Wriezen, Grimme Award, 2012) and Transit Havana (2016), The Family Approach (2024). His documentary films about social themes are observatory and based on people. Since 2017, Abma has taught documentary film directing. He also tutors pitching workshops at European film festivals and is still a freelance youth media worker.
