Dahomey

Mati Diop rendező, a 2000-es évek óta tartó munkássága miatt az afrikai filmművészet új hullámának egyik legkiemelkedőbb alkotójaként tartják számon. Dahomey

Mati Diop's diverse film work since the 2000s has established the director as a representative of a new wave of African and Afro-diasporic culture. Her feature film Atlantics won the Grand Prix at Cannes in 2019. She sees cinema as a tool of reappropriation to restore lost images, question degrading colonial representations and invent new heroes and heroines.

My Father's Diaries

Ado Hasanović is a Bosnian-Italian film director based in Rome. He graduated from the Sarajevo Film Academy as a director in 2013 and furthered his education at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome, specializing as a director. In 2017, he completed a Master's in Dramaturgy as a guest student at the Academy of Performing Arts in Sarajevo. His short films have received worldwide festival selections and won numerous international awards. Ado is also the creator of "Cortovisioni - How to Make a Short Film," a workshop format where he imparts knowledge on creating a short film from the initial idea to post-production. He recently completed his debut documentary, My Father's Diaries (2024), produced by Palomar (Italy) & Mediawan (France).

Queendom

Agniia Galdanova Sundance és IDFA által támogatott dokumentumfilm-rendező. Első egész estés dokumentumfilmjét a One Step Forward, One Step Back-et (2020) a Message to Man Nemzetközi Filmfesztiválon mutatták be. Legújabb filmjét a Queendom-ot (2023), amely Gena Marvin fiatal queer művészről szól, az SXSW 2023-on mutatták be. A tavalyi CPH:DOX-on a NEXT:WAVE Zsűri díjat nyerte meg a film.

Queendom

Agniia Galdanova is a Sundance and IDFA-supported documentary film director. Her first feature-length documentary One Step Forward, One Step Back (2020) premiered at Message to Man International Film Festival. Galdanova’s latest film Queendom (2023), about the young queer artist Gena Marvin, premiered at SXSW in 2023 and is currently screening at festivals around the world. Queendom received the NEXT:WAVE Jury Award at CPH:DOX last year.

Kamay

Kamay

Born and raised in Kabul, Ilyas Yourish began his career as a multimedia journalist and TV show producer in 2011, while studying at the Journalism Faculty of Kabul University. He founded Kamay Film in Afghanistan in 2018 with the goal of producing films centered on themes of identity, trauma, history, and memory, with a particular focus on his homeland and its people. In 2021, he was forced into exile to Belgium, where he has since lived and worked. His latest documentary Kamay (2024) premiered at Visions du Réel.

My Sweet Land

Sareen Hairabedian is an Armenian-Jordanian documentary filmmaker based in the U.S. Through her intimate observational filming style, she captures the untold stories of the underrepresented. Sareen Hairabedian founded her production company HAI Creative in 2016, through which she engages in international co-productions, and works with organizations and broadcasters such as Sesame Workshop, HBO, Wounded Warrior Project, and others. My Sweet Land (2024) is her debut feature-length documentary and has been supported by ITVS, ARTE, International Documentary Association, Arab Fund for Arts & Culture , Jordan Film Fund and CNC.
