Anyák feloldozás nélkül

Sofia Fischer szakmai és magánéletét is a nők ügye iránti elkötelezettsége hajtja. Az elmúlt nyolc évben a Le Monde-nál és más kiadványoknál dolgozott újságíróként a társadalmon belüli törésvonalak megörökítésén. A Mothers Without Parole az első filmje. Három éven át utazott Franciaországban, börtönök látogatószobáiba járt, hogy meghallgassa azoknak az anyáknak a történeteit, akik megölték gyermekeiket. Célja az volt, hogy jobban megértse saját történetét, valamint azokét a nőkét, akiket a társadalom továbbra is figyelmen kívül hagy.

Együttélés, na persze...

A díjnyertes alkotó Amber Fares rendezte a Speed Sisters és a Reckoning With Laughter c. filmeket, illetve a 2024-es Cannes Lions kreatívfilmes fesztivál szórakoztatás kategóriájának nagydíjával elismert We Are Ayendát. Társrendezője a Convergence: Courage Under Crisis című filmnek. Libanoni származású kanadai állampolgár, New Yorkban él.

Hasszánnal Gázában

Kamal Aljafari palesztin filmrendező és művész. Aljafari tanított a New York-i New School és a berlini DFFB egyetemeken, volt ösztöndíjasa a Harvard Film Study Centernek. Jelenleg a Columbia Egyetemen működő Institute for Ideas and Imagination ösztöndíjasa. Egész estés A Fidai Film (2024) című filmje több mint száz fesztiválon volt látható, és tizenöt nemzetközi díjat kapott. Legújabb munkáját, a Hasszánnal Gázábant (2025) a Locarnoi Filmfesztivál nemzetközi versenyprogramjában mutatták be.

Kuba és Alaszka

Jegor Trojanovszkij ukrán filmrendező, forgatókönyvíró és operatőr. Szilárd szakmai tapasztalattal rendelkezik az audiovizuális szektorban, filmgyártásban, televíziós műsorokban, reklámokban és zenei videókban dolgozott ukrán és amerikai televízióknak. Első rövid dokumentumfilmjét, a Reart (amely részt vett a VI. Odesszai Nemzetközi Filmfesztiválon) írta és rendezte is. Első egész estés dokumentumfilmje, a Demon részt vett a XI. Odesszai Nemzetközi Filmfesztiválon, és elnyerte a Fipresci-díjat a legjobb film kategóriában. Társalkotója a kritikusok által elismert, Collapse: How Ukrainians Destroyed the Evil Empire című történelmi dokumentumfilm-sorozatnak.

Monk in Pieces

Billy Shebar is an Emmy-nominated filmmaker known for High Noon on the Waterfront (2022), with John Turturro and Edward Norton, which premiered at the Telluride Film Festival and was broadcast on TCM and HBO; and Dark Matter (2007), starring Meryl Streep, which won the Alfred P. Sloan Prize at Sundance. He collaborated with animator Bill Plympton on The New York Times viral web series Trump Bites (2018-2020) and with animator Yoni Goodman on the three-part crime series Doctor’s Orders (2021).

Rashid, the Boy From Sinjar

Jasna Krajinovic was born in the former Socialist Republic of Slovenia, in Yugoslavia. Before studying at the Academy for Theatre and Cinema, she studied French and English literature at the Ljubljana Faculty of Arts and Philosophy. Moving to Brussels, she studied film directing at the National Institute of Performing Arts. Since graduating in 1999, she has devoted her life to independent filmmaking. Her films were produced by the Dardenne brothers for 13 years, and she still works with their production house Dérives. She has received numerous awards. Following Damian’s Room (2009) and Summer with Anton (2012), Rashid, the Boy from Sinjar (2025) completes her series of portraits about teenagers transcending the limits of complex life conditions.

Militantropos

Alina Gorlova is a Ukrainian film director. She graduated from Karpenko- Kary Kyiv National University of Theatre, Film & Television. She co-founded a production company, TABOR. Her documentary, No Obvious Signs, won the MDR film award for Best Eastern European Film at DokLeipzig.

Yelizaveta Smith is a film director, co-founder of TABOR and a member of the Ukrainian and European Film Academy. Her documentary, School Number 3, co-directed by Georg Genoux, won the Grand Prix of the Generation 14plus International Jury at the Berlinale 2017.

Simon Mozghovyi is a Ukrainian film director. He studied Cinema and Television Arts at the Kharkiv State Academy of Culture, and then went on to study an advanced-level course in dramaturgy in Kyiv, where he began acting.

Under the Flags, the Sun

Juanjo Pereira is a filmmaker, researcher and producer whose work highlights interdisciplinary research through the creation of essay films and video installations. He is dedicated to researching the Paraguayan film archive, and his projects also use the dérive to examine modern infrastructures and everyday built landscapes. He serves as the artistic director and co-founder of the Asunción International Contemporary Film Festival. He has participated and won awards at festivals and markets such as: Hot Docs Forum, IDFA Bertha Fund, ARCHÉ, among others.

Mothers Without Parole

Sofia Fischer has made her commitment to women's causes the driving force of her professional and personal life. At Le Monde and in other publications, where she has been working as a journalist for eight years, she documents the fractures within society. Mothers Without Parole is her first film. Over the course of three years, she traveled across France, visiting prison visiting rooms to listen to the stories of mothers who had killed their children. Her aim was to better understand her own story, as well as those of all these women whom society continues to overlook.

With Hasan in Gaza

Kamal Aljafari is a Palestinian filmmaker and artist. Aljafari has taught at The New School and DFFB in Berlin and was a Film Study Center fellow at Harvard. Currently a fellow at Columbia University's Institute for Ideas and Imagination. The feature film “A Fidai Film” (2024) was shown in over hundred festivals and won 15 international awards. His most recent work, “With Hasan in Gaza” (2025), premiered in the International Competition at Locarno Film Festival.
