Yegor Troyanovsky is a Ukrainian director, screenwriter, and cinematographer. He has solid professional experience in the audiovisual sector working in film production, television programs, advertising, and music videos on Ukrainian and American TV. Yegor is the author and film director of his first short documentary film Rear (participated in the VI Odesa International Film Festival). His first full-length documentary film Demon was a participant in XI Odesa International Film Festival and received the Fipresci award for the Best Film. Yegor Troyanovsky is also one of the creators of the critically-acclaimed historical documentary series: Collapse. How Ukrainians Destroyed the Evil Empire.

Coexistence, My Ass!

Award-winning filmmaker Amber Fares directed Speed Sisters, Reckoning With Laughter, and We Are Ayenda, which won the 2024 Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity Grand Prix for Entertainment. She co-directed Convergence: Courage Under Crisis. Fares is a Canadian of Lebanese origin based in New York.

Emperor

Az 1987-ben Franciaországban született Marion Burger számos játékfilm díszlettervezője, többek között Houda Benyamina Divines (Caméra d'or 2016), Jérémy Trouilh és Fanny Liatard Gagarine (Cannes 2020) és legutóbb Léonor Serraille Mother and Son (Cannes 2022) című filmjének. Legutóbbiért megkapta a Fiatal Filmtechnikusok Díját. Rendezői debütálása a személyes története alapján készült Emperor című VR-élmény.

Born in France in 1987, Marion Burger is a production designer on several feature films including Divines by Houda Benyamina (Caméra d’or 2016), Gagarine by Jérémy Trouilh and Fanny Liatard (Cannes 2020) and more recently Mother and Son by Léonor Serraille (Cannes 2022). On this occasion, she has been awarded the Young Film Technician Prize for her work. Based on her personal story, Emperor marks her directorial debut.

Born in France in 1984, Ilan has been working as a first assistant director since 2008 (including Noaz Deshe’s White Shadow, Lodge Kerrigan’s Rebecca H., and Bertrand Bonello’s Sarah Winchester) while pursuing his own screenwriting and directing music videos (Rone, Gaspar Claus).

Oksana Karpovych Kijevben született ukrán-kanadai rendező, író és fotós. Első egész estés dokumentumfilmje a Don't Worry, the Doora Will Open 2019-es RIDM-en megnyerte a New Visions díjat és a torontói Hot Docs külön elismeréssel díjazta. Projektjeiben a hétköznapi emberek mindennapi életét és szóbeli történeteit vizsgálja, valamint azt, hogy az állami politika hogyan hatol be a magánszférába, befolyásolva az általa közelről dokumentált közösségeket. Karpovych az ukrajnai Kijev-Mohyla Akadémián végzett kulturális tanulmányok szakon, valamint a montreali Concordia Egyetemen filmgyártás szakon.

Intercepted

Oksana Karpovych is a Ukrainian-Canadian filmmaker, writer and photographer born in Kyiv. Her first feature documentary Don’t Worry, the Doors Will Open won the New Visions Award at RIDM in 2019 and received a special mention at Hot Docs 2020. In her projects, Karpovych explores the everyday life and oral histories of ordinary people and how state politics intrude into the private sphere, influencing the communities she intimately documents. Karpovych is a Cultural Studies graduate of the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy in Ukraine and a Film Production graduate of Concordia University in Montreal.

Olha Zhurba ukrán rendező, vágó és forgatókönyvíró. Dad's Sneakers (2021) című rövidfilmjét a Locarnói Nemzetközi Filmfesztiválon mutatták be, majd számos fesztiválon nyert díjakat. Az Outside (2022) című dokumentumfilmjét a koppenhágai CPH:DOX és a torontói Hot Docs is bemutatta, majd a Willy Band díjat is elnyerte a berlini Human Rights Film Festival-on. A This Rain Will Never Stop (2021) és a Home Games (2018) című nagysikerű dokumentumfilmeken mint vágó dolgozott.

Songs of Slow Burning Earth

Olha Zhurba is a Ukrainian film director, editor and screenwriter. Her short fiction film Dad’s Sneakers (2021) premiered at the Locarno FF and later won awards at many international festivals. Outside (2022) is her debut documentary, which premiered at CPH:DOX and HOT DOCS and won the Willy Brandt award at the Human Rights Film Festival Berlin and later the Japan Prize Award of Honor. She was also the editor of the festival hits and award-winning documentary films This Rain Will Never Stop (2021) and Home Games (2018).

A Fidai Film

Kamal Aljafari palesztin rendező a kölni Médiaművészeti Akadémián folytatott tanulmányokat, jelenleg Berlinben él. Tanított a New York-i The New School és a berlini DFFB intézményeknél. A Columbia Egyetem Institute for Ideas and Imagination ösztöndíjasa. 2024-ben UNDR (2024) című filmjét beválogatták az IFFR programjába. A Fidai Film (2024) filmje a Visions du Réel fesztiválra került be, ahol a Burning Lights szekcióban a zsűri nagydíját is begyűjthette. Aljafari jelenleg egy Jaffában játszódó játékfilm előkészületein dolgozik.

A Fidai Film

Palestinian filmmaker Kamal Aljafari studied at the Kunsthochschule für Medien Köln and currently lives in Berlin. He has taught filmmaking at The New School in New York and the DFFB in Berlin. He is a fellow at the Institute for Ideas and Imagination of Columbia University. In May 2024, IndieLisboa dedicated a retrospective to his work. In 2024 his film UNDR (2024) was selected at IFFR and A Fidai Film (2024) at Visions du Réel, where it won the Grand Jury Prize Burning Lights Competition. Aljafari is currently working on a fiction film to be shot in Jaffa.
