A felszabadulás napja

Ugis Olte lettországi rendező és vágó. Sokféle tévéműsort, videoklipet, reklámot készített, ezen felül három rövid játékfilmet (The Red Spot, KK2678, King Of The Wild Things), dokumentumfilmeket (Stuck in Stikine, 2007; Double Aliens, 2015) és Traavikkal közösen a Liberation Day (2016) című filmet.

Morten Traavik norvég rendező és a műfajok széles palettáján alkotó művész. Színházi rendezőnek tanult Oroszországban és Svédországban, így az elgondolás, hogy a világ egy színpad, az identitás pedig egy szerep mindig megtalálhatóak a munkáiban. Ugyanígy szereti karakteresen elmosni a különbségtételt művészet, aktivizmus és társadalmi ügyek között.

Kinshasa Makambo

Dieudo Hamadi Kisanganiban, a Kongói Demokratikus Köztársaságban született 1984-ben. 2005 és 2008 között orvosi tanulmányokat folytatott, majd több dokumentumfilmes workshopon vett részt. Két rövidfilmje, a Ladies in Waiting és a Zero Tolerance számos európai (Berlin, Párizs, Amszterdam) és észak-amerikai (Toronto) filmfesztivál figyelmét felkeltették. A Ladies in Waiting ‘‘Pierre and Yolande Perrault’’ ösztöndíjban részesült a Cinema du Réel fesztiválon Párizsban, 2009-ben. 2013-ban az Atalaku, Hamadi első egészestés dokumentumfilmje, mely a 2011-es kongói választásokat örökíti meg, elnyerte a legjobb filmnek járó Joris Ivens díjat Marceline Loridan (Cinema du Réel) prezentálásában, a legjobb külföldi film díját a San Diego Black Film Festival-on az Egyesült Államokban, a zsűri díját a FIDADOC-on Agadirban, Marokkóban, valamint további három díjat. 2014-ben a National Diploma című film elnyerte a SCAM nemzetközi díját, és a Cinema du Réel Potemkin-díját, valamint beválogatták a torontói TIFF-re és közel 60 másik fesztiválra világszerte. 2015-ben legutóbbi munkája, a Mama Colonel utómunkálatai a Sundance Intézettől és az IDFA-Bertha Fundtól részesültek támogatásban.

Liberation Day

Ugis Olte is a Latvian director and editor. He has created numerous original TV formats, music videos, ads, three short fiction films (The Red Spot, KK2678 and King Of The Wild Things), and the documentaries Stuck in Stikine (2007), Double Aliens (2015) and the co-directed Liberation Day (2016).

Morten Traavik is a Norwegian director and artist working across a wide spectrum of artistic genres. Trained as a theater director in Russia and Sweden, the notion of the world as a stage and identity as role play, as well as a characteristically blurred distinction between art, activism and social issues, has never been far away from his works.

Kinshasa Makambo

Dieudo Hamadi was born in Kisangani (Democratic Republic of the Congo) in 1984, and studied medicine in 2005-2008. He then attended several documentary workshops. Hamadi is the author of two short documentaries, Ladies in Waiting and Zero Tolerance that caught the attention of festivals in Europe (Berlin, Paris, and Amsterdam) and North America (Toronto). Ladies In Waiting received the Pierre and Yolande Perrault scholarship at Cinema du Réel (Paris) in 2009. In 2013, Atalaku, his first feature-length documentary about the 2011 election campaign in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, won the Joris Ivens award for best first film, Best Foreign Film at the San Diego Black Film Festival (USA), the Jury Prize at FIDADOC (Agadir, Morocco) and three other awards. In 2014, National Diploma received both the International Prize of the SCAM and the Potemkin award at Cinéma du Réel (France), and was selected at TIFF (Toronto) and nearly 60 festivals worldwide. In 2015, Mama Colonel, his latest film, received assistance in post-production from the Sundance Institute and IDFA Bertha Fund.

Színtiszta csapat

Maya Zinshtein díjnyertes izraeli filmkészítő és újságíró. Gyerekkorában emigrált Oroszországból, jelenleg Tel-Avivban él. A Tel Aviv Egyetemen szerezte diplomáit filmtudományból és franciából BA szinten, illetve biztonságpolitikából és diplomáciából MA szinten. A Beitar Jerusalem F. C. futballcsapatról szóló díjnyertes dokumentumfilm, a Forever Pure rendezője és producere, de számos más dokumentumfilm is fűződik a nevéhez, többek között a Thieves by Law (r.: Alexander Gentelev, ARTE/ZDF), mely az orosz maffiáról rántja le a leplet. Zinshtein szakmai háttere az oknyomozó újságírás. A neves izraeli lap, a Haaretz számára dolgozva az izraeli társadalom legnagyobb gondjairól tudósított, és televíziós csatornáknak rendezett oknyomozó történeteket.

Nincs hová bújnod

Zaradasht Ahmed kurd/norvég filmrendező és operatőr. Észak-Irakban született és nevelkedett.  Számtalan évek tapasztalatát tudhatja maga mögött a dokumentumfilmes szakmában. Dolgozott Közel-Keleten, Észak-Afrikában, Ázsiában, a helyieket sokszor tréningek keretében tanította a dokumentációra. A Road to Diyarbakir című dokumentumfilmje díjakat nyert. Legújabb filmjének, a Fata Morgana-nak az illegális bevándorlás Európába a tematikája. A filmet számtalan elismert filmfesztiválon levetítették.

Forever Pure

Maya Zinshtein is an award-winning Israeli filmmaker and journalist. She emigrated from Russia as a child and now lives in Tel Aviv. She holds a BA in Cinema and French studies and an MA in Security and Diplomacy, both from Tel Aviv University. She directed and produced the award-winning feature-length documentary Forever Pure about the Beitar Jerusalem F.C and also produced numerous other documentaries, including Thieves by Law (by Alexander Gentelev, ARTE/ZDF), the inside story of Russian Mafia. Zinshtein’s background is in investigative journalism. Working for the prestigious Israeli paper Haaretz, she covered many of the ills of Israeli society and directed investigative stories for television channels.

Nowhere to Hide

Director and photographer Zaradasht Ahmed is a Kurdish/Norwegian filmmaker. He was born and raised in Northern Iraq. His previous work includes the award-winning documentary ”Road to Diyarbakir”, and he has many years of experience working with documentary filmmaking in the Middle East, North-Africa, and Asia, as well as training local people in documentation. His latest film on the topic of illegal immigration to Europe (for SVT Swedish Television) – ”Fata Morgana” – has been screened at several prestigious Film festivals.
