In post-war Tigray, Ethiopia, three women work to ensure that the stories of survivors of conflict-related sexual violence are not forgotten. Moving between intimate present-day encounters and hand-drawn animation created by a Tigrayan artist, the film explores the responsibility of bearing witness and the weight of carrying other people’s memories.

Screening in the International Shorts I: Private Frontline section.
