Following the crackdown on Iran’s 2022 “Woman, Life, Freedom” protests, civilians and students begin filming the unrest from behind windows, creating an alternative visual archive of state violence. After a woman is shot dead while recording from her car, two young filmmakers address her through a video letter, reflecting on the act of filming, remembering, and bearing witness.

Screening in the International Shorts I: Private Frontline section.
