Monk in Pieces
Meredith Monk, a composer, performer, director, overcame a hostile critical establishment to become one of the great artistic pioneers of her generation. As she embarks on what may be her last major project, Indra’s Net, Monk faces mortality, questioning whether such personal work can be performed without her. Featuring interviews with Björk and David Byrne, Monk in Pieces is a mosaic illuminating Monk’s wildly original vocabulary of sound and imagery.
