Vándorbatyu

Adrian Oeser Frankfurtban élő újságíró és filmes. Televíziós újságírást tanul a Baden-Württembergi Filmakadémián 2015 óta. Az elmúlt években dokumentumfilmeket készített, mint például a "With heads held high. Living and surviving in kibbutz Ma'abarot" (www.docview.org), illetve az "An exception" (www.eine-ausnahme.de) című cross-media projekt. Oeser felismeri az alulreprezentált nézőpontok közbeszédbe való emelésének fontosságát, egyaránt hangsúlyt helyezve a politikai dimenzióra és az emberi tapasztalások ambivalenciájára. Szeret történeteket hallgatni, saját filmjeit pedig az interjúalanyai által képviselt perspektíva megnyilvánulási formájának látja.

Aislado

Jo Müller Essenben született és nőtt fel, 2011-ben végzett a Gymnasium Essen-Werden-ben.  Korai tapasztalatait a vizuális médiában szakmai gyakorlatokon keresztül gyűjtötte össze elsőként egy fotográfiai stúdióban, majd egy tv-produkciós cégnél. 2012-ben a GIZ-nek dolgozott, mint szociális munkával foglalkozó önkéntes, amelynek részeként a Dominikai Köztársaságban élhetett és dolgozhatott. Visszatérve Németországba elkezdte a filmművészeti tanulmányait az IFS Internationale Filmchule Köln-ön. Itt szerzett diplomat 2016-ban Visual Arts szakterületen. Első rövidfilmjei a Sockenwäsche (2014, 5 ') és az Update Required (2016, 3') animációs filmek, amelyek megnyitották a kaput előtte forgatókönyvíróként és rendezőként. Első teljes játékidős dokumentumfilmjét, az Aislado-t (82 ') 2016-ban készíti el, egy három hónapig tartó filmezés gyümölcseként a Dominikai Köztársaságban. 2016 szeptemberétől a Bildundtonfabrik-ban dolgozik Köln városában.

Zoltan M. Geller 1991-ben született a szerbiai Sombor településén, de a gyönyörű tájakban bővelkedő dél-németországi régiókban nevelkedett. Gimnáziumi érettségije után egy hat hónapos önkéntes munkát vállalt el mozgássérült gyerekek számára készült iskolában. A Münich székhelyű filmprodukciós cégnél eltöltött kamera asszisztensi gyakornoki munkája után elvállalt egy gyakornoki programot a filmszerkesztési osztályon, ahol felfedezte elköteleződését a filmszerkesztés felé. 2012-ben úgy döntött, hogy jelentkezik az Editing Picture And Sound tanulmányi programra, 2016-ban megszerezte alapszakos diplomáját.  2016 óta, mint szabadúszó filmszerkesztő dolgozik és a német filmszerkesztők szövetségének a tagja, a BFS-nek.

Frissen a szemétbe

Valentin Thurn 1963-ban született Stuttgartban, jelenleg házas és három gyermek apukája. Thurn szellemi atyja és rendezője számtalan televíziós dokumentumfilmnek, amelyek a következő csatornákon futottak: a német ARD és ZDF, a francia-német Arte, a Deutsche Welle TV, a Transtel, a Swiss Television DRS, valamint helyi csatornákon, mint a SWR, WDR, NDR, BR, ORB és a HR. 2003-ban megalapította filmprodukciós cégét, a THURN FILM-et, amelynek központja a németországi Kölnben található. Thurn szerzőként publikált a Die Woche, a Die Zeit, a Natur & Kosmos és a Merian magazinok hasábjaira, illetve rádióadásoknak is a szellemi atyja. Különböző témákban írt könyveket, publikált az elsivatagosodásról WüstenErde címmel, a kelet-európai környezeti kérdésekről Klessenfeind Natur címmel, illetve nevéhez fűződik a Directory of Environmental NGO’s in Central and Eastern Europe című munka. A következő nemzetközi konferenciákon és workshopokon találkozhatunk vele oktatóként: a Goethe Intézetben Mumbaiban, a Miguel Alemán Alapítvány keretében Mexikóvárosban, az Ökoturizmus kongresszuson Johannesburgban, a Guayaquilon Ecuadorban, az RTL Journalistenschule-on Németországban, Ecopresscenter keretében Macedóniában, Third World Journalists Networkön és a The Ethics in Economy Networkön Németországban, a Fachhochschule-on Kölnben és az International Congress of Investigative Journalists konferecián a 2008-as lillehammeri események helyszínén Norvégiában. Thorn tagja az International Federation of Environmental Journalists alapítóbizottságának, és általános titkári pozíciót is ellátott a szervezetnél 1993-tól 2001-ig. Ezenfelül tagja a Reporters without bordersnek, a Netzwerk Recherche-nek (nyomozói tudósító hálózat) és az AGDOK-nak (német dokumentumfilmes egyesület).

The Color of the Chameleon

Andrés Lübbert has participated in more than 160 International Film Festivals in 20 countries, and won 22 prizes with his documentaries. Lübbert tells stories about his intercultural environment, migration, identity and human rights. He has made several films about the Chilean postmemory. El color del camaleon is his latest film.

The Polgar Variant

Yossi Aviram, born in Jerusalem in 1971, is an Israeli writer and director. A graduate from the Sam Spiegel Film & Television School of Jerusalem, Yossi Aviram splits his career between his work as a director of photography and his own films. In 1998, the Year of Israel in France, he participated in a cultural exchange with the well-known French film school, La fémis. He directed his second short film, ANNA during the four weeks he spent in Paris. His first feature, The Dune, won Best First Feature Film Award at Haifa Film Festival, and has also been selected for San Sebastian, San Francisco and other film festivals.

Schrott

Balázs Mészáros was born in 1991 in Dunaújváros, Hungary. He has worked as a video-journalist. He graduated from the University of Theatre and Film Arts, Budapest in 2017 as a documentary film director.

Aislado

Jo Müller was born and raised in Essen, and graduated from Gymnasium Essen-Werden in 2011. His first experiences in visual media were gathered through his internships with a photography studio and television production company. In 2012 he did a voluntary year of social work, living and working in the Dominican Republic, and upon his return to Germany, took up studies in cinematography at ifs international filmschule köln. Müller graduated with a Bachelor of Arts specialized in Visual Arts. His first short films, Sockenwäsche (2014, 5’) and Update Required (2016, 3’), animated films, allowed him to try out the roles of writer and director. His first feature-length film, Aislado (82’), completed in 2016, is a documentary film he spent three months filming in the Dominican Republic. He has worked at bildundtonfabrik (btf) in Cologne since September 2016.

Zoltan M. Geller was born 1991 in Sombor (Serbia), but was raised in the beautiful provinces of Southern Germany. After his high school graduation he voluntarily served in the civilian service for six months at a school for disabled children. After an internship as an assistant cameraman at a Munich-based production company he started an internship in the editing department, where he discovered his dedication to film editing. In 2012 he attended the study program, “Editing Picture And Sound“, at ifs international film school in Cologne, and graduated with a BA in 2016. Since 2016, he has worked as a freelance film editor and member of the German film editors association BFS.

Adrian Oeser is a Frankfurt-based journalist and filmmaker. He has studied television journalism at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg since 2015. In the past few years he has made documentary movies including, With heads held high. Living and surviving in kibbutz Ma'abarot (www.docview.org), and the cross-media project, "An exception" (www.eine-ausnahme.de). Oeser recognizes the importance of bringing underrepresented perspectives to public discourse, and emphasizing both the political dimension and the ambivalence of human experience. He likes to listen to stories, and sees his films as an outlet for his interviewees’ perspectives.

Thurn has directed and authored television documentaries for the national German channels ARD and ZDF, the French-German channel Arte, the international channels Deutsche Welle TV and Transtel, the regional channels SWR, WDR, NDR, BR, ORB and HR, and the Swiss Television, DRS. In 2003 he founded the film production company, THURN FILM, in Cologne, Germany. Thurn has written radio features and articles for magazines such as Die Woche, Die Zeit, Natur & Kosmos, and Merian. He has also published the books WüstenErde on desertification, Klassenfeind Natur on environment in Eastern Europe, and the Directory of Environmental NGOs in Central and Eastern Europe. He has taught at international congresses and workshops including: the Goethe Institute in Bombay, India; Foundation Miguel Alemán in Mexico City; Ecotourism congresses in Johannesburg, South Africa; Guayaquil, Ecuador; RTL Journalistenschule in Germany; Ecopresscenter in Macedonia; Third World Journalists Network in Germany; The Ethics in Economy Network of Germany; Fachhochschule Köln (University Cologne, Germany); and the 2008 International Congress of Investigative Journalists in Lillehammer, Norway. Thurn has served as a member of the founding board of the International Federation of Environmental Journalists (IFEJ), and Secretary General from 1993 until 2001. He is also a member of Reporters Without Borders, Netzwerk Recherche (investigative reporter’s network), and AGDOK (the German association of documentary filmmakers).
