Fredrik Gertten is an award-winning Swedish director and journalist. In 1994, Gertten founded the production company, WG Film. He had previously worked as a foreign correspondent and columnist for radio, TV and press in Africa, Latin America, Asia and Europe. Today he combines filmmaking with a role as creative producer at WG Film. In October 2017, Gertten was named Honorary Doctor at Malmö University’s Faculty of Culture and Society for his work as a documentary filmmaker.

Born in Caracas, Tuki Jencquel holds a BA in Film and TV from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, and an MBA from IESA, Venezuela. He was the first assistant director on Secrets of the Tribe, by Jose Padilha, and has worked as an assistant director in film and advertising. He is currently working on his next documentary, an intimate portrait of his mother, who campaigns to legalize euthanasia in France.

Nicolaus Geyrhalter is a director, cinematographer, scriptwriter and producer. At the age of 22, he formed his own production company, Nikolaus Geyrhalter Filmproduktion (NGF), which has since produced many award-winning documentaries, fiction features, and series for TV and cinema. Geyrhalter's films have been screened at the New York Museum of Modern Art's Doc Fortnight, and at multiple festivals worldwide.

Bénédicte Liénard studied film direction. After her studies, she worked as assistant director on the films of, among others, the Dardenne brothers and Raymond Depardon. Her first feature film « Une Part du Ciel » was screened at Cannes, Toronto, San Sebastian and New York. She went on to direct numerous hard-hitting documentaries, widely screened both in festivals and on television. Titles include « D’arbres et de Charbon » and « Sobre las Brasas », directed with Mary Jimenez.

Born in Peru, Mary Jimenez pursued film studies in Belgium. She has also taught filmmaking in Belgium, Cuba and Switzerland. Being a writer and a director for more than 30 years, Mary’s work includes films like « Du Verbe Aimer », « La Position du Lion Couché », « Le Dictionnaire selon Marcus » et « Héros sans Visage », all of wich have been selected at numerous festivals woldwide. « By the name of Tania » will be her third collaboration with Bénédicte Liénard.

Natalie Cubides-Brady is a British-Colombian documentary filmmaker with a background in visual arts. She graduated from the NFTS with a Masters in Documentary Directing, and was selected to take part in Future Frames: 10 New Directors to Watch, at Karlovy Vary’s International Film Festival in 2019.

Renato Borrayo Serrano Guatemalában született 1992-ben, 2012 óta Oroszországban él. A moszkvai Állami Filmintézetben (VGIK) végzett filmrendezőként, dokumentumfilmes specializációval 2017-ben, majd járt Marina Razbezhkina és Mikhail Ugarov dokumentumfilmes és színházas iskolájába. Alkotását, a Film for Carlost, a 2017-es DOK Leipzig Filmfesztivál nemzetközi zsűrije külön elismerésben részesítette (Honorary Mention).

El Manguito

Laurentia Genske dokumentumfilm-rendező és operatőr. 2010-16-ig járt a Kölni Médiaművészeti Egyetemre, 2012 és 2013 között cserediák volt a kubai Nemzetközi Tévé- és Filmiskolában. Legutolsó filmjével, az Am Kölnberggel (Robin Humboldt társrendezésével) megnyerte a Német Dokumentumfilm-díjat és számos más kitüntetést.
