Another Place
Renée is a ghost. She became one when she was forced to flee Thailand in 2022 after writing a Facebook post. Since then, she has been seeking asylum in France, her refugee status still pending. Being a trans woman makes the process even more complex and isolating. Alone and without legal protection, Renée drifts through Paris in a suspended state. Missing her cats, searching for connection, and trying to hold on to a sense of belonging. Yet through her unbearable lightness, she begins to find a way home.
