Mijie Li

Originally from Hunan, China, Mijie Li studied film in both Shanghai and New York. She has produced television series with BBC2 and the Discovery Channel, and has worked on feature-length documentaries with Jessica Yu, Mila Aung-Thwin and Julia Reichert. She co-produced Steven Bognar and Julia Reichert’s American Factory (Sundance 2019). As a director and editor, Li primarily makes observational documentaries.
