Hungarian documentary filmmakers at the FIPADOC festival

From 19 to 27 January 2024, the FIPADOC International Documentary Film Festival takes place in Biarritz, France. This year, several Hungarian documentary filmmakers participate in the festival with their films and projects. 

László Csáki's feature-length animated documentary film Blue Pelican is presented in the European Stories section.

At FIPADOC's Industry Days, the following filmmakers from Hungary are pitching their projects:
Viktória Dénes and Julianna Ugrin: Frozen Ocean (Éclipse Film)
László Józsa and Olivér Tóth: Ghetto Chicken (Speak Easy Project)
Máté Takács and Judit Sós: New Adam (Proton Cinema)

Ghetto Chicken was also a part of the 2023 Verzió DocLab workshop. 

Viktória Dénes and Julianna Ugrin's project Frozen Ocean won the Dok.Fest München Award at the FIPADOC Pro 2024 industry days. 

In the frame of the Doc Around Europe festival network, Budapest Silo by Zsófia Paczolay is presented in the New Talent section, and filmmaker Anzs Forrás was invited to be part of the Young Europeans Jury.
