Anna Gyimesi was born in 1985, in Budapest. After receiving her degree in medicine in 2011, she turned to filmmaking. She graduated from the film directing program of the University of Theater and Film Arts, Budapest, in 2019, and from documentary film directing in the DocNomads Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Course in 2021. Her interests are taboo social dilemmas represented through personal dramas, especially connected to motherhood, womanhood, and social marginalization. Her latest short, Affricate focuses on a single mother raising her disabled teenage daughter while facing her own deeply-buried needs. The film premiered in the short film competition of the Sarajevo Film Festival and screened, among many others, at PÖFF Shorts 2022, Seattle International Film Festival, and OFF-Odense International Film Festival. Recently, she has been focusing on the development of her debut, Soft Hours, under the frame of Midpoint Feature Launch 2023. Falling is her graduation film for the DocNomads Joint Master Programme.

Pieter Van Eecke is a filmmaker and climate activist based in Brussels. His first feature-length documentary, Samule in the Clouds (2016), was awarded at festivals across the world and won, among others, the Gold Hugo Award at the Chicago Film Festival, the Gold Gentiano at the Trento Film Festival, and the Full Frame Environmental Award. His second feature, Holding Up the Sky, premiered at FIFDH Geneva 2023, and was theatrically released later that year in both Belgium and the Netherlands. His third feature, Planet B, about two young climate activists and members of Extinction Rebellion, premiered at Visions du Réel 2023.

Georg Götmark has a degree in film and cultural studies from Stockholm University and the Universidad Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona. He has also completed a post-graduate course at the Royal Academy of Arts in Stockholm. Georg is currently working as a producer and director at Filmfront Media AB, which he co-founded. He has worked with documentaries and in TV since 2001. He has worked on a number of international documentary projects, such as The Last Lacandones, a film about Mayan Indians, shot in Mexico; Transit Tanger, about Moroccans dreaming of a new life in Europe; and Citizen Oketch, about a family living in the Kibera slum outside of Nairobi. His first feature creative documentary, Bellum – The Daemon of War (2021), was about AI, robotics, and ethics. Georg has traveled extensively producing a number of TV series and reports for Swedish television, and educational films for universities, organizations and companies.

Magnus Gertten is a director and producer born in Limhamn, Sweden, in 1953. He was a television and radio journalist for several years before turning to filmmaking in 1998. He has made 15 documentaries for Swedish and international television, which have been broadcast and screened at festivals in more than 60 countries, and which have won numerous awards. He works as a director, producer, narrative consultant, and adviser for his film production company, Auto Images.
