We have added three films from the most recent Verzió Film Festival (Verzió 15) to our free, year-round program, “School Verzió”. There are now ten creative documentaries to choose from until the end of 2020. High schools and film clubs are welcome to apply for free screenings!

Verzió 15 hosted three panel discussions with the participation of directors, producers and distributors from Hungary and 8 other countries. We tried to cover the most important questions, as well as bigger trends and developments in the documentary industry, while offering industry members the chance to meet and exchange ideas.

7 projects participated at the DocLab filmmaking workshop of 15th Verzió Film Festival. Zsuzsanna Gellér-Varga, Moniek Wester Keegstra and Levente Pap tutored the participants in the frame of a 4-day-long intensive course and gave guidance
and mentorship in creating a short film/documentary essay or in editing a scene or episode from an existing feature-length

A cooperation between Verzió and Budapest Metropolitan University has manifested in a project where graphic design MA students selected a film from the festival program and designed their own alternative poster - later exhibited in Empathy Café.

15. Verzió guest Manon Barbeau received the UNESCO-Madanjeet Singh Prize for the Promotion of Tolerance and Non-violence on the 16 November 2018, on the occasion of the International Day for Tolerance, at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris.

The 15th Verzió had nearly 10,000 visitors! After the Budapest edition the festival continued in other cities, where visitors had the chance to watch a selection of the best human rights documentaries: in Pécs, 15–18 November, at the Apolló Cinema; in Kecskemét, 17–18 November, at the Otthon Cinema; and in Szeged, 22–25 November, in the Grand Café Cinema and Megálló.
