Eri Mizutani was born in Kyoto and graduated from TAMA Art University in 2009. During her studies she made Ki-ka (2006), which was awarded the Special Jury Prize during the 29th Pia Film Festival, and It’s Kind of Ill (2008), screened in UPLINK, in Tokyo. She has been studying at the Leon Schiller National Higher School of Film, Television and Theatre in Lodz since 2010.
Stephan Komandarev studied directing at the New Bulgarian University in Sofia. His films, The Balloon (1997), Dog’s Home (2000), Bread over the Fence (2002), Alphabet of Hope (2003), The Judgement (2014), and Directions (2017) were awarded by numerous prestigious festivals.
Marie Elisa Scheidt studied documentary film in Munich and Toronto. Her films Loly H (2013), Sobota (2014), and Our Wildest Dreams (2017) have been screened and awarded at numerous major film festivals around the world.
Linda Dombrovszky graduated as a film and television director in 2013. She has directed a music documentary, image films, non-commercial films, and a reality series. Her documentaries and short films attended and received awards at several festivals.
Magdalena Szymkow is a documentary filmmaker, screenwriter and film archives researcher with a journalistic background. Her film My House Without Me (2012), a cinematic essay about displacement, was nationally broadcasted, awarded and screened at festivals all over the world.
Evdokia Moskvina studied film production at the Sorbonne University in Paris. In 2011 she directed the film Our Dreams Come True, which was successfully presented at the Cannes festival. Currently, Evdokia is post-producing a documentary filmed in Syria in 2016, a story about civilians in the war.
Filip Antoni Malinowski was born in 1982, in Poznan, Poland. He studied film- and media science as well as fine arts in Vienna. Resettlement is his first feature-length documentary. Malinowski lives and works in Vienna, Austria.
Filip Jacobson graduated from the Film Studies line at Lodz University in Poland, and the Gdynia Film School in Poland as a director. He currently studies at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne, Germany. Along with taking part in a student exchange program at EICTV in Cuba, Jacobson has participated in several workshops: EsoDoc Workshops, Goshort Talent Campus, Polska Doc, and the Berlinale Talent Campus. He is involved in social documentary projects that search for new forms of expression in internet-based projects and through quasi-documentary forms. He has also organized film workshops for children and youth in Turkey, Romania and Poland. His first short film, Walk was awarded the Student Jury Prize at the Krakow Film Festival in 2012. In 2015, together with artist Angelika Herta, he created a web-documentary, www.Bobkowski-co-dalej.pl. The project was shot in France and was based on the journey of the Polish writer Andrzej Bobkowski. He recently finished shooting his feature-length debut, Foreigner, in Cuba.

Emi Buchwald was born in 1991, in Dąbrowice. She is a student of Film Directing at the Film School in Łódź, and previously completed a documentary course at the Wajda School, where she developed her first short documentary, Brothers (2010). Her subsequent feature and documentary works, including Sisters (2011), Droga mleczna (2014) and Chce mi się pić (2014), have been screened at festivals in Poland and abroad. Anastazja Dąbrowska was born in 1990 in Warsaw. She became a student of Directing at the Krzysztof Kieślowski Faculty of Radio and Television of the University of Silesia in Katowice in 2012 after previously studying Environmental Protection at UKSW.
