Marek Šulík studied documentary film direction at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava. After finishing his studies, he established himself primarily as an editor of documentary films that received worldwide acclaim at important festivals. He collaborated on feature projects directed by Peter Kerekes (66 seasons, Cooking History, Velvet Terrorists), Martin Kollár (October 5), Viera Čákanyová (FREM, White on White), Filip Remunda (Czech Journal, Meet the Movie), and many more. In addition, he worked on his own directing projects. His work includes films with social themes, educational films, portrait work, ethnographic documentaries, and films that work with found footage.

In his artistic practice, Alex Baczyński-Jenkins explores the structures and politics of desire through gesture, addressing the issues of queer feelings, corporeality and relationality. His works were presented, among others, at the Venice Biennale, Kunsthalle Basel, Foksal Gallery Foundation, Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, Chisenhale Gallery in London. The artist is also a co-founder of the queer-feminist collective Kem. In 2019, he was nominated for the Polityka Passport award.

Małgorzata Imielska lengyel dokumentum- és játékfilm rendező és író. All for My Mother (2019) című filmje a 2020-as IFF Dhaka keretén belül megnyerte a legjobb rendezőnek és a legjobb filmnek járó díjat. A Szerelem és üres szavak (2018) szintén számos elismerést kapott, többek között a hongkongi IFF nagydíját, az újdelhi IFF legjobb dokumentumfilm díját, a kalkuttai Nemzetközi Filmfesztivál legjobb női filmjének járó díjat, valamint az Ekran torontói lengyel filmfesztivál legjobb dokumentumfilmjének járó díjat.

Just Hear Me Out

Director and writer of documentaries and feature films, Małgorzata Imielska has garnered significant acclaim for her work. Her feature film All for My Mother won Best Director and Best Feature Film awards at the IFF Dhaka 2020. Her documentary Love and Empty Words (2018) has also received numerous accolades, including the Grand Prix at the Hong Kong IFF, Best Documentary Award at the IFF in New Delhi, Best Women’s Film at the Calcutta International Cult Film Festival, and Best Documentary at the Ekran Toronto Polish Film Festival.

Agnieszka Zwiefka díjnyertes filmrendező, akinek A csend királynője (2014) és Scars (2020) című filmjét is számos fesztiválon bemutatták. Zwiefka filmjei a dokumentumfilm és a fikció határán mozognak, ahol a valóság és a fantázia világa is megjelenik. Tagja az Európai Filmakadémiának. Elvégezte a Dok.Incubator, a Scriptteast, a Nipkow Programme és a Berlinale Talents képzéseit és részt vett Merly Steep és Nicole Kidman The Writers Lab programján is.

Silent Trees

Agnieszka Zwiefka is an award-winning filmmaker. Her films The Queen of Silence (2014) and Scars (2020) were screened at festivals worldwide. Zwiefka creates films that border between documentary and fiction, balancing reality and fantasy. She is a member of European Film Academy and alumna of workshops Dok.Incubator, ScripTeast, Nipkow Programme and Berlinale Talents as well as Meryl Streep’s and Nicole Kidman’s The Writers Lab.

Bianca Stigter történész és kultúrkritikus. Three Minutes – A Lengthening

Bianca Stigter is a historian and cultural critic. She made the short film essays Three Minutes - Thirteen Minutes - Thirty Minutes (2014) and I Kiss This Letter - Farewell Letters from Amsterdammers (2018). She is associate producer of Steve McQueen’s feature films 12 Years a Slave and Widows. In 2019 she published the book "Atlas of an Occupied City: Amsterdam 1940-1945".
