Fordulj a Nap felé

Aliona van der Horst 25 éves filmkészítői tevékenysége során számos díjat kapott filmjeiért. Legutóbbi alkotása, a Fordulj a Nap felé (2021), a történelemmel és az emlékezéssel foglalkozik egy apja múltját kereső lány történetén keresztül, és az archív felvételek művészi felhasználása miatt sok szakmai elismerést kapott. A Love is Potatoes (2017), egy első személyben elmesélt dokumentumfilm, amely a posztemlékezetről szól a kortárs Oroszországban. Két másik filmje, a Water Children és az After the Spring of '68 szintén személyes hangvételű filmek. Filmjei azt a kérdést járják körül, hogyan alakítják a hétköznapi emberek életét a nagy történelmi események. Eddig Barcelonában, Kijevben és Belgrádban rendeztek filmjeiből retrospektív vetítéseket. Tagja az AMPAS dokumentumfilmes szakosztályának és az Európai Filmakadémiának. Egyik alapítója a DOCMAKERS nevű kollektív tulajdonú holland filmgyártó cégnek.

Három perc – Hosszabbítás

Bianca Stigter történész és kultúrkritikus. A Három perc - Tizenhárom perc - Harminc perc (2014) és az I Kiss This Letter - Farewell Letters from Amsterdammers (2018) című rövidfilmes esszék rendezője. Társproducere Steve McQueen 12 év rabszolgaság és Özvegyek című játékfilmjeinek. 2019-ben jelent meg Atlas of an Occupied City: Amszterdam 1940-1945 című könyve.

Michelle vagyok

Művész és filmkészítő. Az ukrajnai Oles Honchar Egyetemen MA fokozatot szerzett angol filológiából és művészettörténetből, a poznani Képzőművészeti Egyetemen pedig új médiaművészeti tanulmányokat tanult. Művészi gyakorlatában leginkább a társadalmi kapcsolatok, emberi jogok és a digitális térben alakuló identitás érdekli. Számos kiállításon és szakmai gyakorlaton vett részt Ukrajnában, Lengyelországban, Litvániában, Németországban és az USA-ban. 2019 után másodszor is elnyerte a Lengyel Kulturális Minisztérium „Gaude Polonia” ösztöndíját, aminek keretében jelenleg is a háború elől menekülő ukrán nőkről forgat dokumentumfilmet. I Am Michelle első rendezése.

Olha Zhurba dokumentum- és játékfilmeket, reklámfilmeket és zenei videókat rendez és vág. A kijevi I. Állami Karpenko-Karij Színház- és Filmművészeti Egyetemen szerzett diplomát 2010-ben dokumentumfilm-rendező szakon.

Mianmari naplók

The Myanmar Film Collective is a group of anonymous young filmmakers in Myanmar, working with an anonymous group of European film professionals, who, as an act of creative resistance, are determined to continue making films in the aftermath of the military coup of 1 February.

Turn Your Body to the Sun

In her 25 years of filmmaking Aliona van der Horst has received multiple awards for her films. Her most recent film Turn Your Body to the Sun (2021) deals with history and memory through the story of a daughter searching for her fathers’ past and is hailed for its artistic use of archival footage. Love is Potatoes (2017), is a first-person doc that deals with post-memory in contemporary Russia. Two other films, Water Children and After the Spring of ‘68 are first-person docs. Her films revolve around the question of how ordinary people's lives are shaped by big historical events. Retrospectives of her work were held in Barcelona, Kiev and Belgrade. She is a member of the Documentary branch of AMPAS and the European Film Academy. She is one of the founders of the collectively owned Dutch film production company DOCMAKERS.

Three Minutes – A Lengthening

Bianca Stigter is a historian and cultural critic. She made the short film essays Three Minutes - Thirteen Minutes - Thirty Minutes (2014) and I Kiss This Letter - Farewell Letters from Amsterdammers (2018). She is associate producer of Steve McQueen’s feature films 12 Years a Slave and Widows. In 2019 she published the book "Atlas of an Occupied City: Amsterdam 1940-1945".

I Am Michelle

Olena Siyatovska is an artist and emerging filmmaker. She received a MA in English Philology and Art History from the National University of Oles Honchar, in Ukraine, and studied New Media Arts at the University of Fine Arts, Poznan, Poland. Her artistic practice focuses mainly on social relations, human rights, and identity in the digital dimension. She has participated in exhibitions and residencies in Ukraine, Poland, Lithuania, Germany, and the US. Siyatovska has received the Polish Ministry of Culture of Poland, “Gaude Polonia” scholarship twice. She is currently using this to create a documentary about Ukrainian women who have fled the war. I Am Michelle is her directing debut.

Outside

Olha Zhurba directs and edits documentary and fiction films, commercials, and music videos. She graduated from the I. Karpenko-Karogo National University of Theatre, Film and Television in Kiev in 2010, with a degree from the Department of Cinema Documentary Directing.
