Enikő Gyureskó on the Jury at DocPoint Helsinki

Last week marked the 25th edition of DocPoint Helsinki Documentary Film Festival, Finland's largest documentary film festival, which opened with the Finnish film Days of Wonder, previously screened at Verzió in November.

This year, Enikő Gyureskó, Director of Verzió, was a member of the jury of DocPoint's International Competition, between February 3-8. Together with documentary professional Ali Khechen and director Chico Pereira, the jury awarded the main prize to Lana Daher's Do You Love Me, and presented a Special Mention to Déni Oumar Pitsaev for his film Imago. The jury's statement can be read HERE.

As part of DocPoint's professional programme, at the Meet the Industry panel discussion, Festival Director Enikő Gyureskó presented Verzió's programmes and the opportunities and professional networking platforms available to international filmmakers, including submission possibilities and the Doc Around Europe festival network.

Over the years, Verzió and DocPoint have developed an increasingly close professional relationship. Since 2025, one of the mentors of Verzió DocLab has been Inka Achté, Artistic Director of DocPoint.
